Exciting New Barbershop Circa Opens in Lexington, Bringing Community Spirit and Style

Exciting News for Lexington: A New Barbershop Has Arrived!

Lexington is buzzing with excitement as a popular barbershop from Columbia has opened its newest location on East Main Street. This freshly renovated spot is none other than Circa Barbershop, and it promises to bring a wave of style and community spirit to the area.

A Transformation for the Ages

Thanks to the hard work of Chapin Commercial Construction, a historic building at 101B E. Main St. has undergone a remarkable transformation. The contractors have taken a 2,285-square-foot basement space and turned it into a stunning new home for Circa, maintaining its charm while giving it a fresh look. Alongside Circa’s renovation, the team has also enhanced the storage and office areas of Craig Reagin Clothiers, a well-known men’s clothing store that has been a staple in the community since 2011.

The architecture for this project was skillfully crafted by the talented folks at Craig A. Otto Architect Inc., who ensured that the renovation complemented the character of the downtown area. Chad Lindler, the founder of Chapin Commercial, shares his enthusiasm: “Being part of the revitalization of downtown Lexington is incredibly rewarding for us. Renovating a historic building brings unique challenges, but it’s those challenges that make the process fulfilling. We’re proud to help local businesses thrive while preserving our community’s history.”

Meet Halie Holland, the New Owner

At the heart of Circa is its new owner, Halie Holland. After five years of being a barber at Circa, she’s now stepping into the larger role of business ownership. Halie embodies the spirit of Circa, which has always focused on empowering barbers to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

Opening this shop is about so much more than just giving haircuts,” Halie stated. “It’s about creating an experience and a place where everyone feels like part of the family. Our clients aren’t just clients; they become friends and an essential part of our community.” From of life’s biggest milestones, like weddings and the arrival of new babies, to the tougher moments, Halie views her barbershop as a safe haven where everyone can feel at home. “It’s ‘hairapy,’ connection, and a little light in people’s lives,” she added with a smile.

A Legacy of Quality and Consistency

Circa was founded in 2014 by D.R. Granger in Columbia as a one-chair shop. Fast forward to today, and it has blossomed into eight locations—seven in South Carolina and one in Pittsburgh. This growth story is about simplicity and consistency, delivering high-quality haircuts and precise beard trims to every client.

“Working with Chapin Commercial was one of the best experiences,” Granger mentioned. “Their communication and execution exceeded our expectations.” It’s clear that the dedication to quality isn’t just in their haircuts but also in how they build relationships with their partners and clients.

An Energizing Addition to Downtown

Jeremy Addy, the owner of Craig Reagin Clothiers, warmly welcomed Circa into the neighborhood. He expressed, “We’re thrilled to have Circa join us and bring even more energy, style, and community to downtown Lexington.” The renovation not only revitalizes the space but also elevates the operations for both businesses, creating a synergy that the community can benefit from.
