Fall Sports Season Kicks Off in Vermont

As September rolls in, high school athletes across Vermont are gearing up for an exciting new season. The 2024 fall sports season has officially begun, bringing together teams for competitive play in various sports, including soccer, field hockey, volleyball, golf, and cross-country running.

This week’s action is set to excite fans with several matchups scheduled. Highlights include a match-up between Missisquoi and U-32 at 4 p.m., as well as Lyndon taking on Stowe shortly after. Other notable games happening this week are Montpelier at St. Johnsbury and Bellows Falls visiting Hartford. In addition, Spaulding will face Milton at 4:30 p.m., which promises a thrilling contest.

The matches at 6 p.m. feature Essex against South Burlington and Colchester playing Missisquoi. These fixtures are anticipated to be a high point for both teams, with fans eagerly looking forward to what their local squads can deliver on the field.

Also in the mix this week is Hazen versus Richford, Lake Region at Thetford, and Mount Mansfield facing Essex at 6:30 p.m. Competing schools are also asked to report scores as soon as they can, allowing fans to stay updated on their teams’ progress in this exciting season.
