Exciting Weekend Ahead for High School Sports in Kansas and Missouri

Meanwhile, in Kansas, the boys soccer championships are set for Saturday, with matches taking place at various sites across the state. The teams are looking to secure their place as champions in a highly contested tournament.

The postseason football scene is also heating up, with important playoff games scheduled for Friday evening in both Kansas and Missouri. Fans can expect some high-energy games as teams strive to advance in their respective classifications.

Kansas Volleyball Championships

In the CLASS 6A, Shawnee Mission East defeated Mill Valley 3-0, and Shawnee Mission West won against Blue Valley West 3-2 (4-3 on PKs). Dodge City took down Wichita East 5-1, leading to a semifinal matchup on Wednesday, with Dodge City overcoming Shawnee Mission West 1-0. Shawnee Mission East triumphed over Washburn Rural 3-0.

Championship matches will be held in Wichita at the Stryker Sports Complex on Saturday.

Missouri Volleyball Championships

In Missouri, results from CLASS 5 semifinals saw Lafayette (Wildwood) narrowly beat Liberty 3-2 while Ozark swept Francis Howell 3-0. They will play for the championship on Thursday.
