This week in Montana high school football, the action is heating up as teams head into the final stretch of the regular season. In Class AA, Bozeman Gallatin solidified its status as the top team with an impressive 39-21 win over Billings West, moving their record to 8-0. Billings West dropped to 7-1 and will face Belgrade, which sits at 1-7 this week.

Helena Capital, holding a record of 7-1, demonstrated their strength with a massive 57-17 victory against Kalispell Flathead. They are set to play Butte (3-5) next. Kalispell Glacier also performed well, defeating No. 5 Missoula Big Sky 35-7, and now sits at 7-1. They will be battling Missoula Sentinel (4-4) this week.

In the lower ranks, Helena has been showing some great form lately, climbing to 5th place after a tight 13-10 win over Butte. This week, they will face Missoula Big Sky (5-3), which will be a competitive match.

Switching gears to Class A, Frenchtown and Billings Central both remain undefeated at 8-0. Frenchtown crushed Stevensville 56-0 in their last game and will tackle Butte Central (3-4) next, while Billings Central won against Lockwood 63-7 and will play at Miles City (5-3).

Class B sees Malta and Manhattan leading the pack, both with perfect 8-0 records. Malta secured a win against Cut Bank 45-16 and will take on Fairfield (4-3), while Manhattan beat No. 3 Jefferson 37-19 and is headed to Columbus (4-3).

In 8-Man football, Fairview, Belt, and Valley Christian are all standing strong at 8-0. Fairview edged out Ekalaka 41-16, and Belt hungrily defeated Shelby 67-16. Both teams are favored to win their upcoming games against Wibaux (2-6) and Rocky Boy (0-7) respectively. Circle will look to make a statement as they face No. 8 Culbertson (7-1).

Finally, in 6-Man football, Centerville jumped to the top of the rankings after a decisive 68-38 victory over previously undefeated D-G-S-G. Centerville now holds a 7-1 record and will take on Grass Range-Winnett (4-4). Box Elder remains the only undefeated team, with a record of 7-0.

The upcoming games promise to bring more excitement and competition as teams vie for playoff positions. Fans are eagerly anticipating to see how the season unfolds.
