In boys’ soccer, Abbott Tech secured a dominant win over Bullard Havens with a final score of 5-0. Leading the charge for Abbott Tech were Danny Granizo, who netted two goals, while Henrique Candido, John Jaigua, and Dennis Palacios each contributed one goal. Abbott Tech is now boasting a record of 9-2, while Bullard Havens stands at 5-3-2.

Canton triumphed over Windsor Locks with a score of 4-2, highlighted by Brad Balgach’s impressive three goals. In another game, EO Smith routed East Catholic 4-0, with Yeshua LaBoy playing a pivotal role, assisting on two goals.

The girls’ soccer matches saw McMahon defeat Bridgeport Central 2-0, backed by a penalty shot by David Romero contributing to the win. The match between Old Saybrook and Haddam-Killingworth ended in a 2-2 draw, with Casey DeAngelo scoring twice for Old Saybrook, including converting a penalty.

In field hockey action, Suffield dominated Coventry with a 4-0 score. Goals came from Hazel Qua and Olivia Matthews, helping Suffield maintain a strong record.

Trumbull recorded a commanding win over Norwalk with a score of 7-0, as several players contributed to the scoring spree. The boys’ swimming match had Foran outperform Hamden 96-89, showcasing impressive racing in various styles.

Friday’s events highlighted the skills and dedication of the young athletes, and with the season well underway, excitement is buzzing as teams continue to strive for championship glory.
