Arlington, VA is buzzing with excitement this week as local high schools gear up for a full schedule of athletic events. In a notable shift, three public high school football games will take place tonight, October 10, at 7 p.m., instead of the usual Friday night games, in consideration of Yom Kippur observances.

As for Friday night, all eyes will be on Bishop O’Connell as they take on John Paul the Great at 7 p.m. This matchup is much anticipated as O’Connell seeks to continue their strong season.
Aside from football, other sports are also in action this week. In field hockey, there’s a noteworthy game with Trinity Episcopal facing Bishop O’Connell today at 4 p.m., followed by Washington-Liberty visiting Yorktown at 7:30 p.m.
Your local golf enthusiasts can catch Washington-Liberty at the state tournament, teeing off at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
