Exciting High School Sports Action Across Minnesota
This week’s high school sports scene in Minnesota has been filled with thrilling games and standout performances. In boys’ basketball, Avail Academy had a solid achievement, defeating Math & Science with a score of 65 to 42. Hmong Academy showed their dominance with a staggering victory over AFSA, ending the game at 94 to 19. In other noteworthy games, Mayer Lutheran topped Eagle Ridge with a score of 90 to 74.
The action didn’t stop there. Blaine and Andover battled it out in a close game, with Blaine coming out on top 86 to 82. Maple Grove played impressively, beating Park Center 78 to 36. Spring Lake Park secured a narrow victory against Totino-Grace, winning 78 to 71. And in the Metropolitan Area, it was Bloomington Jefferson edging Bloomington Kennedy 67 to 61.
On the girls’ side, the notable win of the week came from Mayer Lutheran, who showed their skills in a decisive game against Eagle Ridge, ending 74 to 31. Minneapolis City competitors were not to be overlooked, as Southwest grabbed a thrilling win against Camden with a final score of 62 to 56.
The gymnastics scene also saw some exciting performances, particularly from Hopkins, who scored 138.175 to narrowly beat Wayzata’s 136.3. Nyah-Symone Britt from Hopkins put on an impressive all-around display, scoring 36.225.
In boys’ hockey, Hill-Murray continued their winning streak, taking down Tartan with a solid 7 to 1 victory. Maple Grove’s offense was impressive too, prevailing against Osseo 9 to 2. Meanwhile, in girls’ hockey, Holy Angels secured a commanding win against Chaska/Chanhassen, finishing 6 to 0.
Additionally, in wrestling, St. Michael-Albertville dominated Minnetonka, winning decisively 76 to 0. The sports events in Minnesota continue to show the skill and dedication of high school athletes across the state, with more exciting competitions ahead.
