High School Football Showdown: Thrilling Week of Action in Minnesota’s Conferences

Minneapolis – In an exciting weekend of high school sports across Minnesota, schools showcased their talents on the basketball courts and hockey rinks, with several teams delivering impressive performances.

Starting with basketball, the MCAA saw Legacy Christian dominate PACT with a score of 79 to 41, while in the Mississippi 8 Conference, Becker defeated St. Francis by a score of 92 to 77. Big Lake also had a strong showing, winning against North Branch 71 to 58. Notably, Monticello showcased their strength, scoring an impressive 107 points against Chisago Lakes, who managed only 40.

In the Suburban East Conference, the action continued as Cretin-Derham Hall claimed victory over Irondale with a score of 98 to 70. East Ridge also pulled off a narrow victory against Mounds View, winning 72 to 70.

Hockey fans were not left out of the action as Sunday’s matchups heated up. The South Suburban saw Lakeville North edge past Eagan, winning 5 to 3. Meanwhile, in the Metropolitan area, Bemidji faced off against Buffalo, securing a 9 to 2 victory.

Overall, the sports highlights from this weekend reflect a competitive spirit among Minnesota high schools. As teams continue to battle it out in their respective leagues, fans can look forward to more thrilling games in the coming weeks.
