High School Football Showdown: Newport Rivals Renew Historic Battle in Week 8

This long-standing rivalry, which dates back to 1918, sees Newport take on Newport Central Catholic, both teams looking to bounce back after recent losses.

In other games, undefeated Cooper aims to keep their winning streak alive against Scott, while Conner hopes to secure a big win over Dixie Heights to highlight their breakout season. Fans are eager to catch up on all the action as game night unfolds.

In the latest matchups, Bishop Brossart delivered a dominant performance, blanking Holy Cross 35-0. Mustang quarterback Tyler Holtz had an impressive night, throwing for 101 yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Cameron Mandel’s strong performance included 141 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
