This week in high school sports across the region, multiple games kept fans on the edge of their seats with thrilling performances and impressive teamwork. Here’s a quick look at some of the standout matches.
In a notable game, Lewis Mills dominated Middletown with a score of 5-1. The Mills players showcased their skills as Leah Mischke, Riley Mills, Gemma Goshdigian, and Lily Castle each contributed to the score, with Castle netting two goals securing their impressive victory. On the other hand, Middletown’s lone goal came from Yori Perry-Rice. The game saw a total of 21 shots on goal from Mills compared to Middletown’s 18, with Mills goalie Anna Henry making 7 crucial saves to help maintain their lead.
