This past weekend across Washington, high school football teams faced off in the exciting state tournament semifinals, showcasing strong competition in all classes. Here’s a recap of the matchups and outcomes.

Class 4A Semifinals

The top-seeded Camas battled against Gonzaga Prep in a close game, ultimately winning with a score of 28-20. Meanwhile, Sumner and Chiawana fought hard in a thrilling triple-overtime contest, with Sumner emerging victorious at 37-31.

Class 3A Semifinals

In the 3A bracket, O’Dea narrowly topped Eastside Catholic with a score of 17-14, and Bellevue secured a comfortable win over Roosevelt at 29-13.

Class 2A Semifinals

Tumwater demonstrated dominance against Archbishop Murphy, defeating them 42-0. Anacortes also had a strong showing, overcoming W.F. West with a score of 35-13.

Class 1A Semifinals

In Class 1A, Seton Catholic triumphed over Montesano by a score of 35-14, while Royal showcased their strength by defeating Cashmere 44-7.

Class 2B Semifinals

The 2B games featured Napavine, who took down Asotin with a score of 23-8, and Okanogan, winning against Freeman 36-26.

Class 1B Semifinals

Lastly, in Class 1B, Wilbur-Creston-Keller secured a victory over Naselle with a final score of 52-28. Liberty Christian also advanced, beating Almira Coulee Hartline 36-28.
