High School Sports Roundup: November 1st Action

This past Friday, multiple high school teams displayed some impressive performances across various sports in the region. Here are the highlights:

Football

In a standout match, the Arundel Wildcats took down Annapolis with a commanding score of 43-6. TJ Mordecai was a standout player, rushing for three touchdowns and a total of 110 yards. Ahmir Lowery, who threw for 113 yards, also rushed for a touchdown and connected with Darius Burton for a 30-yard TD pass and Jacob Dy for a 66-yard pass. Brandon Feinblatt contributed with a 31-yard field goal, while Andre Younger made a notable interception.

In another highlight, the Old Mill Patriots narrowly defeated Meade 32-27, with Tahzay Brown leading the game with 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Trey Martini threw four touchdown passes, contributing 269 yards in total.

Girls Field Hockey

Field hockey saw Liberty secure a solid 5-0 victory over Perryville, with Hannah DeVincent and Erin Martin each scoring twice. The team showed great teamwork, as Bryce Sarver added a goal and Aver Asom contributed two assists.

Another thrilling match was the clash between the Sparrows Point Pointers and Lackey. The defending champions put on a show, emerging victorious with a score of 9-1, powered by Ami Walters who scored three goals and assisted on two others.

Volleyball

Volleyball action included Broadneck‘s impressive shutout of Montgomery Blair with a score of 10-0. Abbie Morris led with a hat trick, while Faith Everett contributed a goal and two assists.

The Fallston Cougars also had a strong performance, taking down North Harford 4-0, with Layla King scoring three of the goals herself.
