The week opened with strong showings from the Class 7A teams. Hoover took down Fairhope with a decisive score of 35-10. Meanwhile, Vestavia Hills showed their strength by beating Mary Montgomery with a score of 42-21.
Moving to Class 6A, Saraland dominated Chelsea with a resounding 42-3 victory. The Class 4A match-up showcased St. Michael as they triumphed over Handley, finishing with a notable score of 63-40.
The Class 3A games included a solid performance by Bayside Academy, who defeated Hale County 36-6. Fyffe proved their prowess on the field with a remarkable win against Ohatchee, securing a score of 66-30. Finally, Southside-Selma edged past Hillcrest-Evergreen in a thrilling game that ended 36-35.
In the Class 2A category, Susan Moore triumphantly beat Decatur Heritage with a score of 34-27. In Class 1A, Linden showcased their strength against Southern Choctaw with a convincing victory of 63-14.
The AISA saw Chambers Academy defeat Clarke Prep with a score of 53-13 in Class AAA. Lowndes Academy shut out Jackson Academy entirely, winning 47-0 in Class AA.
