West Seattle, Washington – It was an eventful week for local high school football as both West Seattle High School and Chief Sealth International High School took to the field for their games. With one match last night and another today, fans have already witnessed some exciting action.
This afternoon, at Memorial Stadium downtown, West Seattle HS celebrated a big win against Franklin, securing their second victory of the season with a score of 34-7. The players showcased impressive teamwork and skill throughout the game, leaving their supporters thrilled.
Meanwhile, last night at Nino Cantu Southwest Athletic Complex, Chief Sealth IHS faced off against Lakeside. This match was much tighter, but unfortunately, it ended in a 13-10 defeat for Chief Sealth, marking their first loss of the year. The team fought hard but couldn’t quite close the gap in the final moments of the game.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to play again next week during Friday night games at the Southwest Athletic Complex located at 2801 SW Thistle. West Seattle HS, now with a record of 2-3, is scheduled to take on Lakeside at 4:30 PM, while Chief Sealth, with a current record of 4-1, will go up against Cleveland at 7:30 PM. Fans are eager to see how both teams will perform next week and are ready to support them in their upcoming matches.
