High School Sports Roundup: Exciting Games from the Weekend

This past weekend, high school sports in Connecticut showcased some thrilling matches across various leagues. Here’s a roundup of the key results from the action on Friday.

Lyman Hall vs. Mercy

In a solid performance, Lyman Hall defeated Mercy with a score of 3-1. Lyman Hall’s goals came from Ella Cramner, Mattingly Andrews, and Kaylin Findley, while Catalina Koji scored the lone goal for Mercy. With this win, Lyman Hall improves its record to 4-12, while Mercy drops to 2-13-1.

FCIAC Quarterfinals

In the FCIAC quarterfinals, Brien McMahon and Fairfield Ludlowe fought to a 1-1 draw, but McMahon advanced with a 3-2 win in penalty kicks. Meanwhile, Hopkins proved dominant against Cheshire Academy, winning 3-0 with goals from Tommy Pont Strong, Sean Studley, and Nate Huang. The Hopkins goalkeeper, Michael Illuzzi, recorded 4 saves.

NVL Quarterfinals
