Houston high school football teams delivered some exciting matchups over the weekend, showcasing the talents and skills of young athletes across the region. The games, held on Saturday, marked another thrilling day in the 2024 football season.

In a nail-biting contest, the Cypress Springs team edged out Houston Langham Creek with a score of 42-41. This game saw dramatic plays and impressive performances, leaving fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

On the other hand, Houston Lamar put on a scoring clinic against Houston Chavez, blanking them with a decisive score of 79-0. This commanding victory highlighted Houston Lamar’s dominance and offensive prowess.

In a lopsided match, Houston Stratford also performed remarkably well against Jersey Village, clinching a 60-3 victory. The Stratford team’s defense was particularly effective, containing Jersey Village’s offense throughout the game.

Further down in San Antonio, SA Northside Brennan defeated SA Northside Marshall 38-14, while SA Northside Clark held off SA Madison with a close 24-17 win.

Spring triumphed over Aldine Eisenhower with a clean score of 27-0, and Houston Sterling managed to take down Houston Madison with a final score of 35-21.

In other notable games, La Pryor shut out D’Hanis 21-0, and Alvin Shadow Creek dominated Pasadena Memorial 52-0. The Austin Royals took care of business as well, defeating San Antonio HomeSchool 50-14.

The action also featured teams like California School for the Deaf-Fremont from California, who took on Austin TSD and secured a 58-0 victory. Meanwhile, Hill Homeschool narrowly beat Leakey Big Springs 27-21.

In Houston, Houston Northside claimed a solid 28-12 win over Houston Kashmere, while Worthing triumphed against Houston Washington with a dominating score of 41-0.

As the season progresses, each game brings a mixture of joy, excitement, and some disappointment, but the spirit of high school football keeps both players and fans raising the stakes week after week. With many games still to come, it’s clear that this season will be one to remember.
