Nashua High School Sports Roundup: A Rainy Weekend of Action

This weekend in Nashua was filled with excitement, despite the wet weather that made things a bit tricky. On Saturday, the Bishop Guertin High School football team started strong with a quick 6-0 lead at Stellos Stadium. The crowd, although small, was loud and energetic. Unfortunately, the momentum didn’t last, and the team struggled to maintain their advantage.

Meanwhile, it was a completely different story for the Bishop Guertin girls soccer team, who dominated their game against the Alvirne High School girls team, winning decisively 7-0. The steady rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of the players, as they showcased their talent on the soggy field.

In other sports, Campbell High School’s football team continued their winning streak, adding another victory to their record. The Nashua North and South girls soccer teams also secured wins, making it an impressive day for girls’ sports in the area.

Cross country runners had a big day too at the Manchester Invitational. The Nashua South boys and Souhegan girls teams put on a strong performance, showing that they are ready to compete this season.

On Friday night, excitement was high as the Nashua South Panthers faced off against their opponents. Quarterback Cody Jackson made a standout play with a remarkable 61-yard touchdown run, leading his team to a convincing 36-13 victory.

Over in Keene, the Keene High football team managed to edge out Nashua North in a thrilling game, ending with a tight score of 23-20. This matchup kept fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

Lastly, the Milford Spartans took on the Cavaliers on a foggy night, winning decisively with a score of 48-22. Their performance was highlighted by Liam Zahn, who blocked two punts in the first quarter, making a significant impact on the game.

Overall, despite the rainy conditions, the weekend was filled with memorable moments in high school sports around Nashua.
