In a thrilling contest against Lander University, the Newberry Acrobatics & Tumbling Team showcased significant improvement, scoring 102.525 points. Although they fell short of victory, the team celebrated their personal best, highlighting standout moments in the Pyramid and Toss heats. With their next competition scheduled against Francis Marion, excitement builds as fans rally behind the team’s growth and determination.
In the charming town of Newberry, excitement filled the air as the local Acrobatics & Tumbling Team put on a show worth remembering during their latest clash against Lander University. Even though the team didn’t walk away with a win, they celebrated a personal best by scoring a remarkable 102.525 points; a huge leap from their last performance against the same rivals.
The showdown marked a thrilling matchup, with Lander University clinching victory with an impressive overall score of 252.405. But let’s focus on the silver lining—Newberry’s team is on the rise, having improved their previous score from a meager 92.50 points. That’s progress worth celebrating!
As the event unfolded, spectators were treated to some standout performances, particularly in the Pyramid and Toss heats. In the Pyramid Open Heat, Newberry impressed the crowd with a score of 8.85 out of 10.00, showcasing the team’s excellent technique and flawless teamwork. Meanwhile, the Toss Open Heat also had its moment in the spotlight, as Newberry achieved a solid score of 8.00 points. It’s clear that these athletes are honing their skills and finding their groove!
The team began the first half of the competition on a high note, managing to post 59.85 points. During the Compulsory event, they also showcased their ability to handle the pressure gracefully with a notable score of 7.10 in the Pyramid Heat.
