They truly shined at Setzler Field, where the Wolves delivered an impressive performance against Catawba, clinching a remarkable 19-6 victory. The atmosphere was electric as fans gathered to cheer on their talented athletes.

Star Performers Steal the Show

Every game needs its heroes, and in this match, senior attacker Emma Jobs stepped up to the plate in a big way. With a fantastic total of seven goals and two assists, she was undoubtedly the standout player, demonstrating skill and determination throughout the match. But she wasn’t alone in the spotlight; Serena Elias also made her mark by adding five goals and an assist to the scoreboard. The dynamic duo was supported by Dakota Beasley and Mackenzie Watson, each contributing two goals to set the tone for the Wolves.

Establishing a Lead Early On

From the moment the whistle blew, Newberry took command of the game. Ending the first quarter with a solid 4-2 lead was just the beginning. The second quarter saw the Wolves continue their dominant streak, outscoring Catawba 6-2, leading to a confident 10-4 score at halftime. Newberry’s ability to maintain possession was impressive, as they outshot their opponents a whopping 41 to 17.

The Wolves didn’t let up after halftime. They came back firing on all cylinders, with an incredible 9-2 advantage in the second half. Emma Jobs continued her goal-scoring spree, adding three more goals in the later quarters. Not to be overshadowed, teammates Nicole Dinapoli, Trysten Burns, and Amelia Hawkes each chipped in additional goals, showcasing the depth of talent on the squad.
