NEWBERRY — Excitement filled the air on Monday, September 9, as the Newberry County Touchdown Club hosted its very first meeting this season at the Central United Methodist Church. This gathering was not just any regular meet-up; it was a chance to recognize and celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our local student-athletes from Mid-Carolina, Newberry, and Whitmire High Schools.

A Night of Recognition

Under the warm glow of the church’s lights, student-athletes were honored for their impressive performances during the first month of the football season. Among those who took to the stage was Newberry College head football coach Todd Knight, who shared his insights and emphasized the essential values of family, faith, and football.
