Festival Transformed into a Multi-Day Event

In a trailblazing move, the Newberry city administration decided to extend the beloved Summer Festival from a single day celebration to a Three-Day Extravaganza. Responding to the ever-increasing popularity of the festival, the city council believes that a multi-day event will satisfy both residents and visitors, allowing them more time to engage with and fully savor all the festival has to offer.

Introduction of Innovative Themes and Activities

Audience excitement is at an all-time high as there will be a blend of both traditional and modern activities each day. The first day, ‘Yesterday at Newberry’, will be dedicated to the rich historical lineage of Newberry, with exhibitions, traditional food stalls and interactive plays propagating the city’s past. The second day, ‘Today at Newberry’, will host a series of modern art exhibits, display of the city’s progress, and showcase local businesses. The final day, ‘Tomorrow at Newberry’, will spotlight the city’s vision for the future, highlighting developments in technology, sustainable living, and plans for urban growth.

Futuristic Technologies on Display

In a first for the region, the final day of the festival will feature a technology fair showcasing the city’s plans to implement Smart City technologies. This forward-thinking approach under ‘Tomorrow at Newberry’ celebrates the city’s commitment to sustainable living and urban growth. Drones will be on display, as well as models of solar-powered houses and electric vehicles. The highlight, however, is the introduction of a Virtual Reality Tunnel that will provide an immersive, 3D tour of the city’s future blueprint.
