Exciting Quarterfinals at the Minnesota High School State Tournaments

Class 5A State Tournament Highlights

In the quarterfinals, Alexandria edged out Armstrong with a close score of 17-14, while Elk River triumphed over Monticello with a final score of 36-29. Fans were on the edge of their seats as Chanhassen defeated St. Thomas Academy 38-21. The most thrilling finish came when Owatonna narrowly beat Cretin-Derham Hall 22-21 in overtime.

Class 3A State Tournament Action

The Class 3A quarterfinals offered just as much excitement. Dassel-Cokato squeezed past Fairmont with a score of 29-28, and Pequot Lakes battled their way to a 22-15 win against Annandale. Stewartville showcased their skills by handily defeating Holy Family 40-14.

Volleyball State Tournament Results

As the volleyball scene heated up, the Class 4A championship saw Lakeville South fighting hard against Champlin Park, ultimately winning 25-16, 25-17, 14-25, 20-25, 15-10. Meanwhile, East Ridge secured a strong 25-23, 25-21, 25-20 win over Roseville for the third-place finish. In Class 3A, Alexandria took home the championship, defeating Marshall 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22.
