South Bend High School Athletes Sign Letters of Intent, Embarking on College Sports Careers

In South Bend, plenty of talented high school athletes made their commitments to continue their sports careers at the next level during the early signing period. On November 13, athletes from various sports participated in this much-anticipated event. This period is specifically for non-football athletes, while football players will be able to start signing in December.

The early signing window for Division I basketball athletes will close on November 20, with another chance to sign from April 16 to May 25, 2025. Other collegiate athletes can sign anytime until August 1, 2025. This day was particularly significant for many in the South Bend area as it featured students from different schools who are now heading into collegiate athletics.

  • Silas Laidig – baseball at Indiana Wesleyan
  • Will Delio – boys swimming at DePauw
  • Noah Norwood – baseball at Mid Michigan College
  • Reid Sollars – boys cross country and track at Grace College
  • Anna Stone – girls tennis at Taylor University
  • Ava Geyer – softball at Western Michigan
  • Olivia Signorino – softball at Toledo
  • Kira Reynolds – girls basketball at Purdue
  • Gwen Eiler – girls soccer at IU-Indianapolis
  • Joe Washburn – baseball at Creighton

Notably, the Washington girls basketball program had a remarkable day filled with signings, showing the depth of talent in the area.

As more athletes finalize their decisions, this signing period marks an important step in their athletic careers and highlights the zest for sports in the South Bend area.
